Impressions
What are the Impressions? – Definition
Impressions represent the number of times a given page is displayed in organic or paid search results. What’s important, impressions don’t necessarily mean that the user clicked and visited the page. The impression is counted every time the page appears in the search results when the user types a given search query. The URL of the link registers an impression when users open in Google a page with this result; even if this result was not scrolled down so that users can actually see it.
Impressions on Google Ads
When it comes to Google Ads, impressions are counted each time an ad appears in the search results or in the Google Network. Sometimes, like for example in Google Maps, only a section of an ad (such as business name or location) can be displayed.
