Tiny Text
What is Tiny text? – Definition
Tiny text is one of the black hat SEO methods, which consists of adding to a page a text possibly as small as possible (usually 8px or even less) loaded with keywords. It is practically impossible for users to notice such content, however, it is indexed by search engine robots. This is one of the oldest spamming methods that exists since the beginning of search engines. With simple HTML code, you can place essential keywords on the site and not affect the layout of the site in any way.
Effects of Using Tiny Text
This method, at the beginning of search engines, had positive effects on websites – it helped to increase positions of keywords in search results quickly and without much effort. However, as search engines have developed and new algorithms have been introduced, the importance of content on the website, as well as the possibility of its evaluation by crawlers has increased. For these reasons, the use of tiny text began to negatively affect the visibility in search results and also became the reason for Google penalties, which resulted in a major drop in web traffic and conversion.
