Cloaking
What is Cloaking? – Definition
Cloaking is a method of website optimization that consists of delivering different content to Google crawlers than the one addressed to users. This is one of the black hat SEO practices, i.e. prohibited by Google. It results in a Google penalty and removing it from the search results.
Which Sites Use Cloaking?
This type of practice is often used by sites related to the porn industry. Google crawlers then do not see content for adults, making the website more visible in the search results.
