What is HTTP? – Definition
HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) – a protocol that automatically appears in the browser window once the URL is entered. It enables communication between a client and a server. The HTTP protocol defines how the content is made available and how the server can read it. It is used to present information on websites (sent to a user as a server response), as well as to send requests (clicks on links, filling in forms, etc.). This protocol uses cookies to track users and gather data.

Currently, it is recommended to introduce HTTPS (HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure) instead of HTTP as it increases web security. Sites with HTTP protocol are considered to be potentially insecure, which reduces user trust in them. Moreover, the implementation of HTTPS is one of the Google ranking factors.
